The Aeronautics and Aerospace Cluster of the Canary Islands attends the "National Innovation and Design Awards 2023"

In an outstanding event presided over by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain at the Miller Building in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the prestigious National Innovation and Design Awards 2023 were presented. The ceremony was attended by prominent figures such as Diana Morant Ripoll, Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, and Teresa Riesgo, Secretary General for Innovation of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

Among the distinguished guests were Patricia Jiménez Marcelo, President of Femepa, accompanied by the President of the Aeronautics and Aerospace Cluster of the Canary Islands, José Luis García, the President of Tecdron, Tomás Herrera Azorín, and the Director of Innovation and Transfer of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Sebastian López.

The Aeronautics and Aerospace Cluster of the Canary Islands, represented by its president José Luis García, highlighted the importance of innovation as a driver of development in the region. “Innovation is fundamental to boost competitiveness and sustainable growth in our aerospace and aeronautics industry,” said García.

During the event, all the award winners were congratulated, and the sector’s commitment to innovation and design was underlined. Femepa, through its Innovation Area, reaffirmed its commitment to technological development, with projects such as the CIDE Network and the Acelera Pyme Femepa Office of Red.es, which promote innovation and business growth in the region.
