The Aeronautics and Aerospace Technology Cluster of the Canary Islands (CAAC) was created as an international center of excellence in the field of aerial robotics technologies and satellite systems.
The CAAC aims to consolidate the image and position of the air vehicle and aerospace technologies industry, related technologies and ancillary services both in the Canary Islands and at national and international level, contributing to the promotion of economic, social and technological development of the Canary Islands and the State in general.
Created to increase the economic diversification of the archipelago and promote the attraction of companies in the aeronautical-aerospace sector as well as highly qualified personnel, the CAAC’s mission is to develop the following activities:
Promote the implementation of innovation and R&D projects.
Promote cooperation between the public and private sectors.
To provide important support to the diversification of the Canary Islands economy.
Generate highly qualified employment
Retain talent in the two regional universities
Attract technology-based companies
To be a world reference in the emergence of aerial robotics and blue, green and circular economy.
